BAKE SALE FOR IMMIGRANT RIGHTS
PRE-SALE HAS ENDED - we will have baked goods for sale at Small Hours from 2pm-5pm. Can’t wait to see you then!
Pastry chefs & bakers from the Twin Cities (+ 1 Wisconsinite) come together to present a bake sale to benefit our immigrant neighbors in a difficult time for the community. Order sweet and savory treats for your loved ones for Valentine’s weekend or come with a date (friends, fam or even solo) to enjoy drinks & pastries in Small Hours’ beautiful sun-filled space in NE Minneapolis all while supporting our neighbors who need it most. Pick up your treats to-go or stay and enjoy. We will have n/a beverages free of charge and a limited wine list for purchase.
THE CAUSE:
100% of profits will be donated to the Immigrant Law Center of MN and Monarca.

HOW IT WORKS:
Each baker is offering items found in the drop down menu and explained below. To pre-order, add the items and quantities to cart and leave your venmo handle in the note at checkout. We will send you a venmo request for your order. Once you complete the venmo request, your order is considered sold. Pickup will be at Small Hours between 2pm-5pm on 2/15.
We will also have extra items for sale at the event beyond the pre-orders.

ABOUT THE BAKERS:
Jasmine Weiser Kaysen was the Executive Chef of Edwards Dessert Kitchen prior to their closure. She is currently working on her next project- Clémentine - a Neighborhood Patisserie.
Janel Sharma is a local chocolatier preparing to open her first chocolate studio, J. Kumari Chocolate in the North Loop of Minneapolis in 2026. After working under Thomas Keller at Bouchon Bakery and Bouchon Bistro in Yountville CA, she moved home to the Twin Cities to showcase her modern chocolate confections using traditional European techniques.
Yon Hailu is the chef/co-owner of PaperBoy, an Italian sandwich concept, and baker at Parcelle Organics. Prior to these positions, he spent years honing his skills across many forms of hospitality in various local establishments. He hopes to continue using his crafts to bring joy into people's day.
Cathy Closmore is a Minneapolis chef who has cooked at many restaurants around town such as Minari, Sooki & Mimi, and Kim’s, as well as bakeries in NYC and Colorado. She now cooks for community.
Marlee Crave is the co-owner of Fiddlehead Kitchen in Balsam Lake, Wisconsin. She specializes in locally sourced ingredients as well as rustic, artisan baked goods.
Brooke Faudree is the owner & chef of Quince Hospitality specializing in fine dining events and restaurant pop-ups. She is also a food stylist for photography and video, and strives to bring joie de vivre to the table.
